Siri Hashem is a partner at OBH Lawyers, specializing in maritime and insurance law with over twenty years of extensive experience.
He earned his Master’s Degree in Maritime Law from the University of Wales, Cardiff, in 2000, and is an esteemed member of the Jordanian Bar Association.
Siri has established himself as an expert maritime and insurance lawyer, adept in handling complex maritime claims, settlements, and negotiations. His vast experience encompasses advising and representing shipowners, charterers, insurance companies, traders, and P&I clubs in all facets of dispute resolution, whether before courts or through arbitration.
Throughout his career, he has served as a maritime legal consultant for the largest shipping group in Jordan, where he provided legal support to shipowners, charterers, ship managers, agents, and shipping lines. His expertise extends to working with major raw material exporters, such as the Arab Potash Company, showcasing his ability to navigate multifaceted legal environments.
Prior to his position as partner at OBH Lawyers , Siri spent 11 years as a Senior Associate at Al Tamimi & Company in their Transport and Insurance department.
His time there was marked by extensive experiences across regional offices in Amman, Dubai, and AL Khobar, where he honed his expertise in maritime and insurance law, leading numerous complex cases to successful resolutions.
